Marty’s photo of the day #5042: I woke up at 4:00 a.m. this morning. When I realized I wasn’t going to fall back asleep, I packed up my camera gear and headed for the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge for the second time this week. I didn’t shoot as many photos as I did on Monday, because many of the same birds were in the same places as before. This cinnamon teal duck was grooming himself among the reeds exactly where he was on Monday. So, rather than photographing his entire body, this morning I concentrated on capturing his eye.
