Marty’s photo of the day #2648: This is the Jago River in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Deb and I canoed this river all the way across the refuge (some 35 miles) for my book, Endangered Edens: Exploring the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Costa Rica, the Everglades, and Puerto Rico. Here the river is wide, because we are just a few miles from reaching the Arctic Ocean.
