Fur Seal
Marty’s photo of the day #2149: Here’s one of my favorite fur seal photos. I took it on an island off the coast of Antarctica. These seals almost went extinct, due to over-hunting. Fortunately, international protection arrived just in time, and the seals have made a nice comeback.
Penguins in the fog
Marty’s photo of the day #2113: Photographing in thick fog is difficult, as it confuses camera metering and focusing. Here’s a photo I was able to save of a gentoo penguin chick and mother, on an island, just off the coast of Antarctica.
