Marty’s photo of the day #3865: The novel I am working on is by far the funniest of the seven books I have written. Despite the humor, I also deal with serious subjects. In one of the adventures, my protagonists travel back in time to stop a Christian missionary, who is abusing native peoples. I felt it important to cover the subject, because so little has been written about the real-life horrific abuse by Christian missionaries in South America. This village, which I photographed on the Amazon River in Peru, is not the village my protagonists time-travel to, but it served as the model for my physical description of the fictitious village in my new novel.
