Marty’s photo of the day #3268: Yesterday Deb and I went hiking in the Calf Creek Wildlife Management Area, which is in the foothills of the Sapphire Mountains, on the opposite side of the valley we live in. For those not familiar with the area, Montana’s Bitterroot Valley is 95-miles-long, with a population of just 40,000 people. It’s bordered by the Bitterroot Range in the west and Sapphire Mountains in the east. In this photo, Deb’s and my house is almost directly in the middle, just a little ways up the mountain.
