Marty’s photo of the day #2343: I photographed this fur seal on Deception Island, which is off the coast of Antarctica. Many people consider fur seals to be the animal with the most luxurious coat in the world. Because of that, sealers slaughtered them their pelts, and these beautiful animals almost went extinct. Fortunately, fur seals are now protected, and they have made an impressive comeback.
