Marty’s photo of the day #5207: Today is Nellie’s seventh birthday! Well, give or take four months. I’m not really sure and arbitrarily picked Halloween. When Deb and I adopted Nellie from the local animal shelter back in 2000, she was a stray weighing just 42 pounds, and we had to argue with the person in charge there to adopt her. Now she weighs 66 pounds and is healthy and happy. She’ll be losing a little of that weight, however, since she’s fully recovered from the surgery for her second bionic leg and is back to running at warp 9.

I shot this photo of Nellie last month on Vancouver Island. Deb and I finally wore her out!
