Marty’s photo of the day #4757: I only occasionally talk about cameras on social media, because when someone says, “That’s a great picture! You must have a great camera,” it’s kind of like saying to a chef, “This tastes wonderful! You must have great pots.”
Nevertheless, I have fallen in love with my new Olympus Tough TG-7 pocket camera, because it perfectly fits the niche left open by my multi-lens Canon EOS R50. It can go 50 feet underwater, shoot extreme close ups, and has optional accessories that make it even more versatile.
For today’s shot, I was walking in the woods, experimenting with my TG-7’s optional flash diffuser, when I noticed a three-foot-long hollow log. I dropped to the ground to see what taking a photo through the log would look like. It was kind of boring.
Then Nellie grew curious about what I was doing and looked at me through the opposite end of the log. There was my shot! My only regret is that due to the flat nature of photographs, you can’t tell how long the log is.
So, thanks to Nellie for making this artsy photograph. She’s such a creative dog!
