Marty’s photo of the day #3987: There are only 3,500 African painted dogs left in the world, and 700 of them live in Zimbabwe. Deb and I got to watch a pack of 18 dogs, when we hiked across Mana Pools National Park. I took this photo after the painted dogs had been watching us for about 15 minutes. Eventually they decided that humans were boring, and it was time to take off after that tasty impala that had been making noise in the bush.
