Marty’s photo of the day #4762: When Deb and I were in Bonaire last September, the two consumer-quality underwater cameras I brought soon began to leak. That sent me on a desperate search to buy what turned out to be the one-and-only pro-quality underwater camera for sale on the entire island: a Sealife Micro 3.0.

I loved that camera so much that as soon as we got home I bought a second one to serve as a “security back up” and camera Deb could use on our upcoming Belize trip. That purchase earned me an “Are you finished yet?” reprimand from my lovely wife.

Fast forward to our April Belize trip, and once Deb got her hands on the second Sealife camera, she took it with her every time we went into the water.

One skill Deb has that I don’t have is the ability to freedive without the follow-up drowning. So while I used my photographer skills to shoot photos along shallow reefs, she would dive down to capture images of creatures on the ocean floor. I also shot photos, like this one, to show just how deep she was diving.
