Marty’s photo of the day #4716: When I write and post photos of Deb’s and my Zimbabwe expedition, they are usually from our backpacking trip across Mana Pools National Park. Sometimes I forget that we also spent a few days in Matusadona National Park. Highlights here were quietly sneaking up on a black rhino and me running down a dry riverbed attempting to get close enough to a black mamba to photograph it before it could disappear into the bush. Black mambas are fast! This photo shows the tent we slept in while visiting Matusadona National Park. The biggest worry here wasn’t lions getting into our tent, it was the long line of tiny red ants that wouldn’t leave us alone.
