Marty’s photo of the day #4616: Deb and I live in Montana, but we are originally from Minnesota—the State of Hockey. Therefore hockey is our winter sport. We’re also intelligent people, so naturally a sport that features a trapezoid and reliance on geometry adds to its appeal for us. Last year, for Christmas, I bought Deb and official Marc-Andre Fleury jersey (Minnesota Wild goalie). This year, for Christmas, Deb returned the favor and bought me a Joel Eriksson Ek jersey (Minnesota Wild center). So last night, for the first time, we donned our jerseys while streaming the Minnesota Wild hockey game. Final score: Minnesota Wild 6 – Detroit Red Wings 3
Following the game we carefully hung up our jerseys, while the win still clung to them. They will remain unwashed and only worn during games as long as the Wild keeps winning. It’s important to keep the Hockey Gods on the correct side.
