Marty’s photo of the day #3873: I am holding a velvet swampsnake with one hand and photographing it using the other. This was one of the mellowest snakes I met while in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru. Someone from the Yagua tribe brought the snake to our camp, and I traded a T-shirt for it. I released the snake shortly after I took this photo, so my end of the trade was short-term.
