Marty’s photo of the day #3186: I teleported over to Venice yesterday to take this photo. Well, not really, but I did go through my Venice photos, looking for ones without humans in them, and this one caught my attention. This is, apparently, what the city looks like now. It’s hard to imagine an entire country locked down, like Italy is. Since Italy thrives off tourist dollars, this has to especially hurt them. And what of all the hidden cameras on the highways, no longer catching oodles of unknowing drivers, like me, and then mailing out stiff speeding tickets months afterwards? How will their government survive the loss of all those “bonus” tourist dollars? Okay, perhaps that’s a little too snarky for the situation. I wish the wonderful people of Italy the best and hope they get through their shut-down without too much suffering.
