Marty’s photo of the day #2866: Greetings from Lynnwood, WA (just north of Seattle). Today I perform a 12:30 p.m. show at Edmonds Community College. Yesterday, I was on the opposite side of the Puget Sound for a show at Olympic College. To get where I am now, I had a choice of driving south to Tacoma and then north through Seattle or taking a ferry across the Puget Sound. The ferry cost $15.35, and because of the waiting and loading times, I’m not sure if it was all that much faster than driving, but it was a more interesting experience. I’ve been on ferries before, but the Kingston Ferry was the largest I’ve been on. It holds 2,499 passengers and 202 vehicles. I was lucky to have my car parked at the very side, so I stood outside, took photos, and enjoyed the ocean air. The ferry in this photo is identical to the one I was on—going the opposite direction.
