Marty’s photo of the day #4088: During the first part of September, Deb and I enjoyed an unusual split vacation that included six days in the American Prairie Reserve of central Montana, two days at home, and then three days in Utah that included exploring the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area and Antelope Island. Those parts of our vacation included virtually no interaction with other humans. Nestled in between was an Evanescence and Korn concert at the USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City with 25,000 of our “closest friends.”

So today, I’m going to move away from wildlife photos to feature one of Evanescence. They were on an equal double-bill with Korn. Fortunately, Evanescence went on first. They were awesome! As for Korn, I know they’re technically a talented band, but they are neither Deb’s or my cup of tea. We stayed for five Korn songs—really trying to get into them—but it just wasn’t gonna happen. We left, thrilled with Evanescence, and also pleased that leaving early allowed us to avoid the horrible post-concert traffic jams that the USANA Amphitheatre is famous for.
