Marty’s photo of the day #3116: I had to dig deep for this photo, taken when I was still using a film camera. This moose spent a year or more hanging around our house. That’s one of my favorite things about living in Montana. Deb and I built our house here in 1996, and we protect the 25 acres we own surrounding it as a wildlife refuge—complete with its own wetland. In most of America, moose are having a tough time. Here, at our refuge, we always have moose. We don’t see them all the time, but their tracks and scat tell us they are just out-of-sight.
