
Marty’s photo of the day #4753: No matter what device you are viewing this longstalk starwort on, the image on your screen is much bigger than in real life. The actual flower is about the size of the head of a tack.
I photographed the flower using the “microscope mode” on my new Olympus Tough TG-7 camera. I still use my interchangeable lens Canon R50 for most of my wildlife photography, but my new little TG-7 pocket camera is so much fun, with microscope mode, underwater mode, and other capabilities. I actually had to read the extensive manual three times to learn everything it could do.
