Marty’s photo of the day #4468: In 2013, I was on a college speaking tour that provided me with two days off along the Arizona-California border. I made use of those days by exploring the Mojave National Preserve. The MNP is basically seldom-visited desert, with scattered mountains. My best find was this magnificent desert tortoise, which is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
