Marty’s photo of the day #4814: My wife, Deb, shot this photo on the third day at the yurt we rented in the American Prairie. I have great bed hair, eh? But on that early July day, it rained past lunchtime. And that was perfectly okay with Deb and me. With no running water, no phone, no internet, and the weather not conducive for hiking, we enjoyed several hours of guilt-free, uninterrupted downtime. In my hands, I’m finishing “Feather Trails,” the outstanding new book from fellow Montana author Sophie A.H. Osborne, and on my lap is Nellie. At that moment, Nellie was not enjoying her downtime. Mocking her, just outside the window behind me, was a rabbit, and Nellie thought chasing the rabbit in the rain was a perfectly fine idea. Finally, she crawled into my lap, gave a long-suffering sigh, and took a nap.
