Marty’s photo of the day #4368: During my early morning photo shoot last Sunday in the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge (Bitterroot Valley, Montana), I spent a lot of time being quiet and letting the wildlife come to me. This female mallard duck came the closest. As she worked her way through the reeds, she had no idea I was just a few feet away. While she was the least-colorful duck I saw all morning, she became one of my favorite shots.
