Marty’s photo of the day #4091: Between 500 and 700 bison live on Antelope Island (located in the Great Salt Lake of Utah). Two weeks ago, Deb and I hiked toward the far end of the island, passing by a herd with a huge bull. Then, as we approach the island’s tip, we came across this magnificent bison. Our guess is that he’s a young bull, kicked out of the herd by the dominant bull. He ignored us, on our way out, but stood to watch us on our way back. We gave him a wide birth (I used a telephoto lens for this picture).
