Bison vs. Cow
Marty’s photo of the day #4015: I shot this photo today on my early morning bike ride. I live on a forested hill, and each morning my ride takes me to the valley floor, where the forest gives way to grassland. There sits a ranch with roughly a dozen bison and a few cows. I say “hi” to the bison each morning, as I turn around and head back up the hill—and sometimes they grunt back. The bison here have become quite an attraction, as there are often tourists parked along the road, with their cameras poking out windows. I haven’t spent much time photographing the bison, because for me the only worthwhile bison photos are those of ones living in the wild. Still, I thought today’s photo would be a good educational shot for people who always wondered how a bison compares to a cow in size.
