Marty’s photo of the day #3704: In my photos directory, I have a four-year-old file titled “Garbage.” On someone else’s computer that might mean flawed photos to be deleted. On mine, it’s the band Garbage. This is Shirley Manson of the band, and when Deb and I saw them outdoors in Idaho, the temperature was 103 degrees Fahrenheit (39.4 degrees Celsius). By the end of the show, Shirley was so drained that she was singing while lying on her back. Blondie followed, with Debbie Harry wearing a black cape with the words “Stop Fucking the Planet” in big bold letters. The concerts were wonderful, but sadly, Debbie’s message was so true.
