Marty’s photo of the day #3507: This is one of my favorite photos from my Antarctica trip. We had strict rules that we could not approach any animal closer than 15 feet. But if an animal approached us? That was okay. The man in my photo is Paul Jacobson, who was filming a documentary of our expedition and is also an accomplished still photographer. When a gentoo penguin chick moved in to take a closer look, it created an amazing photo opportunity for both Paul and me.
