Marty’s photo of the day #3013: I can’t believe it! Deb and I have been married 35 years as of today. This is one of my favorite photos of her, and here’s why: I could never be married to a woman who wasn’t intelligent, outspoken, brave, and adventurous. I wish you could have seen how Deb looked on the morning of this shot. At that time, we were deep in the Amazon Rainforest, muddy and sweaty—and she was very likely admiring some creepy crawly creature that would have scared the hell out of every woman I dated before I met her. Then we embarked on a long boat ride up the Amazon River to Iquitos, Peru. We checked into a little hotel, she stepped into the bathroom, and came out looking like this! Happy Anniversary to my intrepid wife, Deb! You are the love of my life. Not a day goes by that you don’t amaze me or make me feel like I’m the luckiest guy on the planet.
