Marty’s photo of the day #2984: I photographed this orchid in Costa Rica and spent a bit of time afterwards trying to identify it. The few similar flowers I found on the internet were simply called “purple and yellow orchids.” In other words, those who posted images before me had no idea what its name was either. Since I photographed it in the dark, I hereby dub it a “night orchid.”
