Marty’s photo of the day #2382: You are looking at either the smartest or the luckiest deer in Montana. My wife and I live on 25 acres of forested land at the foot of the mountains, and all around are neighbors on similar plots of land. To put it another way, the property we own is an island of no hunting surrounded by hunters. During hunting season, nearby gunfire is a regular occurrence. Montana’s hunting season ended on Sunday, and this big boy greeted me by the side of our house yesterday. Not only that, he had the hottest doe in the neighborhood with him. Yes, he’s one lucky buck.
