Marty’s photo of the day #4357: This is one of my favorite photos from my first trip to Peru. I was in Iquitos and went for a walk after a rainstorm. I spotted these children playing with a soccer ball in a flooded street―just having a blast. When I aimed my camera, the children spotted me and hammed it up.
And for all the gun-loving, Fox-News-viewing Republicans out there: Not once did I feel scared that these children were going to come to America to replace white people; not once did I feel uncomfortable because brown-skinned people approached me and I didn’t have a gun; and not once did I ever think of them as anything other than innocent kids having fun.
