Marty’s photos of the day #4129+++: This week I’m taking a break from wildlife photos to post some of my favorite concert pictures. I seldom post more than one photo each day, but today I’m posting a shitload of Halestorm photos from May 30, 2022, at the KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner, Montana (just outside of Missoula).

This was the second time Deb and I attended a Halestorm concert (the first was 2019, in Billings, MT), and for this one, I upgraded to the highest-rated small camera in its class (a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100) and purchased second row seats. That combination allowed me to take some of the best concert photos I’ve ever taken.

Sure, I could pare down to a few shots, but I know a lot of Halestorm fans see my posts. If you’re unfamiliar with Halestorm, that’s because rather than depending on radio airplay, they built their following the old fashioned way—working their asses off, performing from town-to-town for 25 years. (Guitarist/vocalist Lzzy Hale, and her brother, drummer Arejay Hale, started the band when she was 13 and he was 10.)

Halestorm is also one of those bands you don’t see just once. Most people see them over-and-over. They’re that good! I know next time Halestorm passes through western Montana, Deb and I will be there.
