Marty’s photo of the day #3815: The other night, my wife, Deb, and I were talking about the different ways people travel. While some of our adventures, like to Antarctica, were only practical with guides, many of our best adventures happened when nothing was pre-planned. Many people go to places, like Spain, on trips where everything is pre-packaged and/or pre-planned. We could never do that because we’d miss too much. This photo is an example of something pre-planners would miss. High terrain allowed Deb and me to spot this decomposing castle far off in the distance. We immediately changed our plans for a closer look. To get there, we had to follow a maze of dirt roads, but once we arrived, we had the place to ourselves.
