Marty’s photo of the day #3040: Two days after Deb and I had been attacked by a hippo, we were in a fresh canoe on the Zambezi River and had to pass through a narrow channel. Blocking our way were two hippos fighting. Rather than risk losing another canoe to a hippo’s mouth, we pulled ashore and watched. Eventually we noticed two little heads popping up on the opposite side of the adults. “It’s a custody battle!” I declared.
