I’m continually blown away at how stupid—yes stupid—Trump supporters are. They follow their cult leader as if he we’re a deity (actually Republican televangelist Pat Robertson said he had a vision of Trump sitting at the right hand of God after the Apocalypse), and somehow they believe that mainstream news media around the world get together on a conference call each night to come up with a common “conspiracy of the day” to make President KKKlueless look bad.
So now in the right-wing bubble, criticizing Führer Trump isn’t free speech; it’s “dangerous speech.”
Despite these dark times, I’m still an optimist. Dictators almost always get overthrown, and the same will happen with our pretend dictator via a landslide election. And that brings up another question. By law, all U.S. presidents get Secret Service protection for life. Still I wonder. . . . Will Trump receive such protection if, like so many other dictators, he ends up in prison?
