Alabama’s new total abortion ban will require women who get pregnant as a result of rape to carry that fetus to term. Any doctor helping that woman end her pregnancy can be sentenced to 99 years in jail. Now before you blame this solely on men, keep in mind that the Republican sponsor of the bill is a woman and the bill will be signed into law by a woman governor. No, this is just another example of archaic people following an archaic religion and forcing it on others.
And obviously, these Christian Republicans only pay attention to “God’s Greatest Hits” as interpreted by televangelists and clergy who hide from their illiterate cult the truth: the Bible says zero about abortion. In fact, multiple times the Bible states that life begins at “first breath.”
Furthermore, God in the Bible gets-off on killing fetuses and babies. Here are just a few examples:
“Samaria shall bear her guilt, because she has rebelled against her God; they shall fall by the sword; their little ones shall be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open.” (Hosea 13:16)
“Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.” (1 Samuel 15:3)
“Blessed shall he be who takes your little ones and dashes them against the rock!” (Psalm 137:9)
What’s the solution? I think the solution will be ironically self-fulfilled by the very Christians who are forcing their sick beliefs on others in the name of power and sexual gratification. Churches are rapidly losing membership, and, by showing their true colors, the GOP “God’s Own Party” is setting itself up for massive election losses. These people are so fucking evil they will force a raped woman to carry a fetus to term! And they don’t even have a legitimate biblical reason to do it.
