Nature photography, political rants, and Martyman laughs from the ten-time award-winning author of "Cool Creatures, Hot Planet," "Endangered Edens," and the "Time Is Irreverent" series.

Crossing the same path three times

Marty’s photo of the day #2290: Here’s another photo from the motion-sensing camera in my front yard. I almost didn’t post this one, as it was dusk when the bear walked by, and I had to digitally increase the light to make the photo presentable. This shot may be lacking some in detail, but it’s interesting when you take into account my two previous photos of the day. On Sunday, it was wild turkeys; on Monday it was a big white-tailed deer; and today it’s a black bear. All three animals crossed the same spot in my yard—just days apart.
