Marty’s photo of the day #2044: Here’s a sunrise view of where Deb and I stayed two weeks ago. Because I want to protect the octopuses’ privacy, I’m not going to publicly name the place (although if you are dying to go there, just email me, and I will let you know). However, I will tell you that it’s on Mexico’s Baja Peninsula and the Sea of Cortez, and the only way to get there is by boat. Our goal was to find a place with a minimum of people, and we accomplished that. During our stay, we shared the place with just two other guests. We had the beaches all to ourselves (except for the resident dogs, Toby and Chaco, who followed us everywhere), a beautiful yurt to sleep in, great wildlife, and an outstanding cook, who prepared authentic Mexican dishes for us. And perhaps best of all—no Donald Trump news all week long!
