Just like her husband, Melania Trump steals

Marty Essen

After watching the Republican National Convention last night, I went to sleep disgusted by all of the hate, lies, and misinformation spewed forth. However, I felt kind of proud of myself that I was open minded enough to like much of Melania Trump’s speech. She was articulate and handled herself well in what was obviously the biggest public speaking appearance of her life. Even the content of her speech was mostly good. It was positive, with none of the hate of the earlier speakers (Rudy Giuliani upped the definition of “foaming at the mouth” to levels not previously thought possible by someone who didn’t actually have rabies).

Then, I woke up this morning to learn that Melania plagiarized parts of her speech from Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Yep. Just like her husband, Donald, Melania steals from others and presents it as her own.
