A year without a Supreme Court?

I find it appalling that Republican leaders have yet again put party before country—this time by threatening to refuse to confirm an Obama-appointed Supreme Court Justice to replace Antonin Scalia. These un-American plebeians would like to shut down an entire branch of government for at least a year—all so they have a chance at appointing another dishonorable activist judge, like Scalia.

What if one of the crybaby Republican presidential candidates sues the GOP to contest his party’s nomination? What if November’s presidential election is contested, like Bush vs. Gore was? What good is a Supreme Court that votes 4 to 4?

Technically a tie reverts to the lower court decision, but that essentially means no Supreme Court and limited checks and balances.

Hmmm . . . I guess we could just keep President Obama in office until the Republicans stop acting like spoiled children and do their job!
