Marty’s photo of the day #1681: Imagine if you visited a village, and when you left, the entire village came out to wave goodbye. That’s what happened to Deb and me when we stopped to check out one of the Yagua villages on the Amazon River. As time goes by, and more and more Americans visit exotic places, experiences like this will become a thing of the past. The world is getting smaller, and in some ways that’s sad. It’s really kind of a neat feeling when two cultures meet—even if it’s for a short time—and both enjoy the novelty of each other’s company.
