The iceberg and my morning routine

Antarctica Iceberg

Marty’s photo of the day #1617: My morning routine is all screwed up. For approximately eight months a year, I get up at 6:00 a.m. and go on a bicycle ride. Since we live on a hill at the edge of the mountains, that ride keeps me in shape. Once our hill gets ice on it (as it has now), I’m forced to switch to my elliptical machine, which I really hate. I used to put studded tires on my bike, but all they did was make me wipe-out less often. And with my college speaking schedule, a broken leg would make performing very difficult. This year just a few times on the elliptical machine convinced me to try the studded tires again. The “studlies” are going on today, and while I will avoid days when our hill looks like this Antarctica iceberg, I’m determined to get in some rides this winter.
